I hope you all had a great spring break and had the opportunity to rest and reflect on the work that we get to do each day. I want to take a moment to reflect on where we are as a district and, more importantly, where we are going. Our work is focused on improving outcomes for every student, strengthening instruction in every classroom, and building systems that ensure long-term success. That work continues—and it matters deeply.
Recently, the state has assigned a conservator to support our district. Mr. Jeff Adams is an educator who is here to help us strengthen our systems and accelerate our progress. A conservator serves as an additional layer of guidance, accountability, and expertise to help districts meet state expectations and, most importantly, better serve students.
We welcome this partnership as it will continue to reinforce our commitment to our students and their success, high-quality teaching and learning and supporting our staff with clarity, consistency, and purpose.
We are a resilient district and a strong community. We have faced challenges before, and each time we have emerged stronger, more focused, and more united. Together, we will continue to move forward—with urgency, with purpose, and with a clear focus on what matters most: student success.
I am grateful to embark on this journey together.
Dr. Tracie Robinson, Superintendent of Schools
