Black, James
Assistant Principal
James Black serves as the Assistant Principal of Clarksville Middle High School and has proudly dedicated 12 years of service to Clarksville ISD. He is passionate about supporting students, staff, and the Clarksville community while helping create an environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.
For Mr. Black, “Every Child. Every Classroom. Every Day.” means being intentional about showing up for every student and every teacher, every single day. It means making sure all students feel seen, supported, challenged, and given the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their circumstances. As an administrator, he believes his responsibility extends beyond the walls of the office—“I must be present in classrooms, support quality instruction, build meaningful relationships, and ensure teachers have what they need to help students grow.” Every decision we make should ultimately answer one question: How will this help our children succeed?
Outside of education, James serves as a church musician and Minister of Music, combining his love for music with ministry and service to others. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, making music, and fishing whenever he gets the chance.
